GageMap is a finite element post processing tool designed with vibration testing in mind. It dramatically reduces overall effort, cycle time and cost by verifying and utilizing your finite element model for test preparation and data analysis. GageMap interfaces to popular, commercially available finite element packages and gives you the ability to apply strain gages and accelerometers to your finite element model independent of the mesh. Data is always stored in the sensor coordinate system so comparison to test data is a breeze.

GageMap supports most finite element types, anisotropic material properties, grouping, custom coordinate systems, prestress and cyclic symmetry. Because GageMap is so user friendly, many customers use it instead of their FE post processor.

Our Basic GageMap software features a basic set of tools necessary to perform sensor placement, sensor optimization, vibrometry mapping and model validation, and posttest analysis and animation from recorded engine data. Interfaces to ANSYS, ABAQUS and NASTRAN finite element packages are included. GageMap supports linear isotropic and anisotropic materials with temperature dependency. Sensor reports include the transformation of materials into the sensor coordinate system. For additional tool sets, we offer upgrades.

This upgrade option includes features for analysis of cyclically symmetric structures including phase searches and model expansion. This allows you to expand your post-processing abilities beyond those offered by a traditional FE Post Processor.
This upgrade option features the ability to import, export, combine, and modify static and modal results. Complex modes are supported. In addition users may choose to input user defined modal shapes that can come from forward response analysis and/ or modal superiority.
This upgrade option includes features to perform location dependent stress-based fatigue assessments. Materials, stress scalars, and visualization properties can be assigned based on model groups. Static stress transformations into principal vibratory directions are also available.
